Another Pride Month has come and gone. People all across the country celebrated with friends, family, and strangers. As we move into the second half of the year, we often see the glitter dust settle, leaving a colorful hole in our lives. However, Pride isn’t restricted to just one month!
As everyone gears up for back to school and Fall holidays, there are still some local organizations hosting amazing Pride events. If you are looking for more inclusive, family-friendly fun, check out these upcoming events.
Rocky River Pride Festival
Date: August 10, 2024
Time: 2:00pm – 4:00pm
Location: Rocky River Public Library (Library Lawn)
Overview: A family-friendly celebration of PRIDE in Rocky River for all in the LGBTQ+ community, their families, friends, allies, and neighbors.
Ashland Pride
Date: August 17, 2024
Time: 12:00pm – 6:00pm
Location: Waters Edge Event Center
Overview: Enjoy local food trucks, craft vendors, and non profits as well as live drag and musical entertainment all day! They will also have free items and raffle baskets at the Ashland Pride tent. Stop by and stay a while to celebrate the LGBTQ+ community.
Akron Pride Festival 5k
Date: August 23, 2024
Time: 6:30pm – 9:00pm
Location: Bounce Innovation Hub
Overview: Lace up your shoes and prepare to embark on a memorable journey through Akron’s scenic streets and the historic Ohio & Erie Canal towpath, as you join a diverse, inclusive crowd celebrating love and acceptance.
Akron Pride Festival

Time: 10:00am – 4:00pm
Location: Downtown Akron
Overview: Let’s cheer, celebrate and spread love while watching the Equity March in downtown Akron.
Enjoy local and national entertainers, exhibitors, interactive children’s area, food trucks, nosh and so much more.
