BBH Pride Scholarships
Through the generous contribution of friends of BBH Pride, Mike Sievers and Sandy Scafidi, the scholarships will support students and adults in pursuing their educational goals while promoting awareness, inclusivity, and allyship.
The BBH Pride Scholarships are aimed at empowering LGBTQ+ individuals and their allies through continuing education. The purpose of the scholarships is to support deserving individuals in pursuing their educational goals while promoting awareness, inclusiveness, and allyship.
Two scholarships are offered annually at $1000 each to:
- A high school graduating senior at or below the age of 19
- An adult at or above the age of 20 who has taken a pause from education
The applicant will be enrolled in an educational institution that offers 2 or 4-year degrees or a vocational or trade certification and will be pursuing a career AND/OR volunteer activism in the human rights space with an emphasis on the LGBTQ+ community.
Each scholarship is awarded annually to one individual who resides in Brecksville or Broadview Heights, Ohio. The scholarship funds can be used for tuition and fees, books and supplies, or other educational expenses.
