BBH Pride proudly announces their Welcoming Merchant Program
Brecksville-Broadview Heights (BBH) Pride is a local 501(c)(3) non-profit organization working to instill acceptance, promote inclusivity, and foster a welcoming community for LGBTQ+ people. As part of our mission, we are inviting local businesses to join our Welcoming Merchant program. This program aims to establish a network of businesses committed to being safe and welcoming spaces for LGBTQ+ patrons, workers, and allies within our community.
A business is considered LGBTQ+ friendly when it actively promotes inclusivity for LGBTQ+ individuals through policies that explicitly prohibit discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity, offers inclusive benefits like same-sex partner coverage and transgender healthcare options, fosters a welcoming environment with gender-neutral facilities, celebrates Pride events, and actively supports LGBTQ+ causes within the community.
The Welcoming Merchant Free Kit
Once approved as a Welcoming Merchant, you will receive:
- Window cling (must be displayed as part of the program)
- Indoor sign (must be displayed as part of the program)
- Small pride flag
- Buttons / stickers for employees
- Welcoming Merchant certificate
